Photowalk Around Azumabashi: A Quiet Morning Between Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree

This photowalk took place around Azumabashi, nestled between Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree. It’s a quiet area that doesn’t attract many tourists—mostly filled with office buildings and locals on their way to work. On this busy yet peaceful morning, I took a bus and got off at Asakusa. From there, I walked across the Sumida River and arrived at a spot I must’ve passed before but never really noticed or appreciated.

To be honest, I had no clear expectations. I was just walking, taking in the atmosphere, and snapping photos casually. But everything changed after I crossed the bridge and discovered a scene that instantly lifted my spirits. In one frame, I found three iconic elements of everyday life in Japan: Tokyo Skytree, a red post box, and a vending machine—all perfectly aligned.

It was a simple but powerful reminder of how magical unplanned walks can be. Sometimes, when you’re not chasing anything specific, the most meaningful frames find you.
